Masjid Nimra, Makkah
Masjid Nimrah was constructed to mark the spot where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) camped before delivering the last sermon on the plain of Arafat in Wadi Uranah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It is also where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led Salah. Today, Masjid Nimrah is also known as “Masjid Khutbah”.
Masjid Al Khaif (Masjid al-Khayf), Makkah
In Arabic, the word ‘Al-Khayf’ means what has risen above the stream of water and inclined the width of the mountain. A very historical yet sacred monument, Masjid Al Khayf is considered one of the most important mosques, is located in the south of Mina. Masjid Bilal (Bilal Ibn Rabah Mosque), Madinah
Hzrat Bilal bin Rabah (RA) was one of the most loyal and trusted Sabah of Prophet Mohammad (SAW). He was born in Macca and he was a former Abyssinian slave. His house is turned into a Mosque by Saudi Government. Hazrat Bilal (RA) was among first Slave to accept Islam in Makkah and he is known as the first Muazzin of Islam.
Masjid Jinn, Makkah
The mosque of Jinn is built at the place where a group of jinn are said to have gathered one night to hear the recitation of a portion of the Holy Quran by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) later met there with these jinn's leaders and accepted their embrace of Islam and their bayt (oath of allegiance) to him (SAW). The incident is mentioned in chapter al-Jinn of the Holy Quran.
Zubaida Canal, Makkah
Zubaida, the Queen of Iraq, was wife of Khalifa Haroon Al-Rashid (170 -193 Hijri) the fifth Abbasid Khalifa (Caliph). She built the canal. Queen Zubaida came to Makkah to perform her Haj Pilgrimage in 809 AD (193 Hijri), she noticed that there is an extreme shortage of water. Zubaida immediately ordered to build a canal that served the pilgrims for more than 1,200 years.
Birth Place of Prophet Mohammad, Makkah
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The Birth Place of Prophet of Allah is The house of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and it is situated on Suq al-Layl Street, in adjacent to the Holy Kaaba. To be very precise, as we leave Masjid Al-Haram and walk towards mount Safa, about half a kilometer away, we will see the birthplace of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Cave of Thawr or Cave of Thour, Makkah
When it became completely impossible and very terrible for Prophet Mohammad (SAW) to stay in Macca, he was commanded by Allah (SAT) to migrate from Makkah to Medina. Hazrat Abdu Baker Siddique (RA), his (SAW) very close friend and companion was with him (SAW) during the migration (hizrat) from Makkah to Madinah. The Cave of Hira, Makkah
he JabalNur (Jabal Al-Nur) Mountain also known as the “Mountain of Light” or “Hill of Illumination”. The Cave of Hire is located on the top, at the height of 634 meters of this mountain. The Cave of Hira is 4 kilometers away from Holy Kaaba. This place is famous because Prophet Mohammad (SAW) used to visit this cave whenever he was in search of solitude and a spent quite long time in meditation and deep thinking.
Masjid Jummah, Madinah
This is where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) performed the first Friday congregational prayer in Madinah. This gorgeous looking mosque is located near the Holy Quba mosque. This is an historical mosque related to Hazrat Muhammad (SAW).Approximately one hundred Muslims participated in this first Jummahsalah. Amongst them were the Prophet’s (SAW) relatives from Bani an-Najjar who had come to meet him and some from Bani Amr who had escorted him from Quba.
Jannat Al Mualla, Makkah
Jannat Al Maulla is the Graveyard or Cemetery (Qabristan), where many of Sahabas (RA) and relatives of bellowed prophet (PBUH) are buried here and some of them Important personalities are: *Hazrat Khadija (RA) - Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) first wife. *Abdul Mutalib - Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) grandfather.
Masjid Quba, Madinah
The Masjid Quba or Quba Mosque is one of the most historical places for ziyarat in Madina, Saudi Arabia. This is the first mosque ever built in the history of Islam. It is highly significant in Islam. Originally, this mosque, was a small structure made of mud and palm leaves, but it expanded and rebuilt several times over the centuries. Today, Quba Mosque is a large and modern mosque that is visited by hundreds of thousands of Muslims each year who come for ziyarat in Madina and pray.
Jabal Rahma or Mount Arafat, Makkah
Mount Arafat or JabalArRahma is located in the south east Makkah. Mount Arafat is located about 20 kilometers in the southeast of Makkah. To be more precise it is situated between Taif and Makkah, at a distance of 10 kilometers from Mina, 6 kilometers from Muzdalifaha and 22 kilometers from Makkah.
Mina, Makkah
Mina is a valley located 6 kilometers in the east of the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. At Mina Hajj pilgrims sleep overnight on the 8th, 11th, 12th (and some even on the 13th) of Dhul Hijjah. The valley of Mina contains the Jamarats, the three stone pillars which are pelted by pilgrims as part of the rituals of Hajj.
Masjid-e-Ayesha or Taneem Masjid, Makkah
Masjid Ayesha servers as a Miqat for the people who are in Makkah and wants to perform their Hajj and for those pilgrims who wants to repeat their Umrah i.e. want to do their Umrah rituals more than one time, they go to masjid Ayesha and get in the state of Ihram to perform the holy Hajj and Umrah. The holy Taneem Mosque is about 10 km from the Al Haram Mosque and is situated on the highway as we go towards Madinah.
